Delete your Yuno Social account

You can permanently delete your account from the app. Deletion cannot be undone.

In the Yuno Social app

Follow these three steps

  2. 2Select Settings
  3. 3Choose Delete Account

Cancel subscriptions separately. Deleting your account does not cancel Yuno Plus. Manage an active subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to prevent future billing.

What happens next

Data deleted with your account

The current deletion process removes your account and the personal data used to operate it.

  • Your sign-in account, profile, private settings, and active location data tied to the account
  • Profile photos and other account media stored by Yuno Social
  • Your chat identity and messages in Yuno Social’s chat systems
  • Friendships, requests, memberships, participation records, blocks, verification attempts, and other account-linked records

Activities, groups, and organizations

If an activity or group you host still has members, it is transferred to a successor and separated from your deleted account. Empty activities and groups are deleted. If you are the root administrator of an organization, the organization and its associated content are permanently deleted.

Limited exceptions

Records that may be retained

Some minimized records may remain when needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, financial obligations, or reliable deletion processing.

Transactions

Consumer transaction records may be kept longer when needed for legal, tax, financial-audit, or payment-processor obligations. Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and other billing providers also handle records under their own policies.

Consent records

Records showing acceptance of legal terms or privacy updates may be kept as reasonably necessary to document compliance, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Safety and fraud prevention

Yuno keeps a minimal deletion receipt. If an account was connected to a report, content-free moderation fields may remain, and a one-way hash of the email address may be kept to identify repeat registrations without retaining the email itself.

Backups and logs

Residual copies may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, or fraud-prevention systems, or where retention is required by law. Yuno Social does not publish a fixed backup-retention period.

Legal holds

An explicit legal hold may delay deletion while preservation is required. Chat content covered by a hold may be stored privately while the hold remains; a report by itself is not a legal hold.

When moderation records remain, Yuno Social does not keep the deleted content, message text, images, titles, descriptions, URLs, or report notes in those records. Identifiers and timestamps may remain, so these records are minimized or pseudonymized rather than guaranteed to be fully anonymous.

Request deletion by email

You can request deletion without accessing the app. Email support@yunosocial.com from the email address associated with your Yuno Social account. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing your request.
